Activists of the "Our New Times" Foundation together with the Stuttgart Guardsmen visited Stuttgart's sister city Strasbourg in the "Day of Older People" on October 1.

Together with us on such a day - "The Day of Older People", of course, were our veterans - these are the blockade of Leningrad, living today in Stuttgart. This meeting became possible thanks to the hospitality of the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Strasbourg, Mr. Valery Borisovich Levitsky.

The concert program for the Day of the Elderly was held at the premises of the Consulate General of Russia in Strasbourg. Here in the photo we see representatives of the "Russian House Strasbourg" together with the Stuttgart guardsmen (in uniform), the citizens of Stuttgart and our siege survivors living in Stuttgart today. They are the family of Rais and Boris Emirsony. Also to celebrate with us this day came a representative of our oldest compatriots of France Yuri Fedorovich Sidorenko from Paris.

After the meeting of sister cities Stuttgart-Samara, held September 29 in the Administration of the capital of the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg, in Stuttgart, we decided to go with our compatriots and friends of the Fund "Our New Times" to another sister city - Strasbourg. Moreover, there was an excellent reason - to spend a holiday - "The Day of the Elderly in Europe" in Strasbourg. As everyone knows today, the European Parliament is in Strasbourg. Thus it was decided that we are going to Strasbourg. And thanks to the invitation of the "Russian House of Strasbourg", we had the opportunity to meet with our compatriots in France and show respect to our blockade-dwellers living together with us in Stuttart.
