The unique tin soldier figure "Trumpeter of the city guard on horseback Stuttgart" was presented at the opening of the State Museum of Tin soldiers in St. Petersburg of Museums of Alexander Vasilievich Suvorov.
In 2014 the foundation "Our New Times", with the support of the State Museum, named A.V. Suvorov (St. Petersburg), organized the visit of "City Guard on horseback Stuttgart" in St. Petersburg. The "City Guard on Horseback Stuttgart" is a voluntary association of citizens of the capital Stuttgart, Württemberg Duchy, which was founded in 1652 after the end of the Thirty Years' War.
The Stuttgart city guard today maintains the tradition of the former corps and participates in official receptions of Stuttgart and Baden-Württemberg. In the 19n century Stadtgarde on horseback Stuttgart belonged to the Guard of the Duke and Duchess of Württemberg, Russian grand dukes Ekaterina Pavlovna (1788-1819) and Olga Nikolayevna (1822 - 1892).
The production of the tin soldier figure "Trumpeter of the city guard on horseback Stuttgart" takes place in Saint-Petersburg and Baden-Wuerttemberg, while the Reichrudel art studio uses the more faithful historical process, which was developed early in Nuremberg.
At the official opening of the State Museum of Tin Soldiers Figurines in St. Petersburg, our delegation from Stuttgart handed over our tin soldier "trumpeter of the city guard on horseback Stuttgart 1652" to the director of this unique museum for the collection.
See you soon in the imperial and cultural capital of Russia - St. Petersburg.
